Short-Term Running Goals:

-Be really fit by early September and make the team even though I’m getting married in August.

-Not burn out early in the season

-Be On the team that wins nationals

Long-Term Running Goals:

I want to continue running as long as possible. I don't feel a need to run marathons; I would rather simply be able to run 5Ks and 10Ks for much of my adult life and at least get in a few miles until I'm pretty old.

Personal:

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I served a mission in Rome, Italy from 2015 to 2017. I like chocolate shakes.

Morning: woke up at 5 to drive to Pocatello. I had a bit of a sore throat, but not too bad. While I was racing I didn't feel anything wrong with it. I didn't feel like I did great myself on one of the most insane courses I've ever run (super steep downhill followed by super steep uphill), but I was really proud of our team for winning the race, beating Idaho State on their home course 32 to 36. Not bad for a "running club".

Night: I needed to get in more mileage so I went for a run. You know what it feels like when your legs just start moving faster without you even asking for it? That's what happened. Before I knew it, I was rolling 5:30s or so on the way back. I love that feeling of going super fast and having it not even feel challenging.
